Raymond Lam's paternal grandmother (Lam Wong Tat) passed away in her dreams at age 95. The funeral was held today in Hong Kong, after cremation, her remains will be sent back to the family's hometown in Xiamen. Towards his grandmother's passing, Raymond felt it was very sudden and regrets she wasn't able to see his third HK Coliseum concert.

Yesterday at 3pm, Raymond and his family including his father, younger brother and cousin (Lam Ha Mei) were at the Hong Kong funeral home preparing for the memorial. He changed into a white mourning outfit and accepted an interview with his cousin. Raymond reveals his grandmother is a very cute elder, and had been ill for a period of time before her death. He said: "My grandmother recovered from her condition, and has been in good shape for a short while, so she left this world in her dreams. I feel its very sudden." At the scene, it was seen Raymond's family were all in white mourning clothes, but some of had pink colored clothing. He explained the Lam family 4 generations lives under the same roof, the ones in pink mourning clothing are his grandmother's great grandchildren.

Raymond's HK Coliseum concert is just around the corner, Raymond sighed: "In the past two years, my grandmother came to my concert, I never thought this year she won't be there. But, I will report to her!" When the time comes, will he do the same and leave a seat for her? He said: "Initially I did leave one for her, I will continue to be strong and prepare for my concert. When the memorial completes tomorrow, I will resume my rehearsals." As Raymond's father business is well-known in Xiamen and his grandfather was once the vice chairman of the Fushan CPPCC, yesterday besides Virgina Lok, Ron Ng, Kate Tsui, Joey Yung, Twins and Leo Ku, there were also many businessmen and government officials who sent memorial wreaths.

at least their grandma got to see raymond's sister get married before passing away... must be a difficult time for the family, especially since the four generations lived under one roof.

  7. 95... not a bad age to go... i think if it was my time and I was 90+ i would be perfectly ok with it... also i think i wouldn't mourn too much even if my own father/mother dies at that age, they must have lead a nice life to be able to live so long.
