After leaving the cast of popular TVB sitcom, Come Home Love <愛•回家>, Queenie Chu (朱慧敏) will be opening a new restaurant in Central with her boyfriend, actor Eddie Pang (彭懷安). Although Queenie’s role in the sitcom was very popular, TVB scriptwriters wrote off her character to add twists to the plot. With several years left in her TVB contract, Queenie is unwilling to wait for another lucky breakthrough role. Instead, she shifted her focus towards plans to open her own restaurant to generate more income. Since TVB has been reducing their staff, Queenie is afraid that she may suffer from a long-term loss of work if she continued to stay at TVB. The insider disclosed, “Without Come Home Love and the company’s staff reduction, Queenie knows what’s going on. Even with a contract, there may be pay cuts. Since she is 30 years old already, she decided to start a business with her boyfriend! Eddie is going to open new restaurant in Central and he plans to give some shares to Queenie. Since she has free time, Queenie visits the store to oversee the renovation, stocking of goods, and hiring staff. When the restaurant opens, Queenie will be supervising the site. Several months ago, she went to Eddie’s other restaurant to learn about the cash register and managing the operations.” Eddie is the Boss Eddie Pang was a former member of Cantopop dance group, EO2. After the group dissolved in 2013, Eddie has turned his focus to acting. He has played various villainous roles in films, and appeared as a triad boss in Line Walker <使徒行者>.
