ok as ive got a new PC it means i can finally play 64player maps on BF2142, only problem was i couldn't stay connected for more than 20 seconds as i got kicked from PB constantly. This is supposed to be a very common problem so this is how i fixed it (after 2 days of trial and error). Ill be talking about BF2142 but the game is not important, were talking about PunkBuster here. 1: delete the 'pb' folder in your BF2142 installation folder 2: download this and use it to uninstall PunkBuster HERE 3: Restart your PC 4: install Punkbuster with the program from step 2 5: Make sure your Firewall is allowing punkBuster to opperate 6: Check 'Task Manager' and make sure 'PnkBstrA.exe.' is running (it MUST be running or you havent done it correctly) 7: Go into your AntiVirus and set it so that it does not interfere with 'PnkBstrA.exe', 'PnkBstrB.exe' and 'PnkBstrK.exe', the first two are in 'Windows/sys32' and the 3rd one is in 'windows/sys32/drivers'. 8: Then downoad PunkBuster Updater from HERE, put it in your BF installation folder and run it, it will give you a new 'pb' folder that you deleted earlier. 9: Restart you PC... and enjoy your game. Extra : if you have Vista like me then find the 3 files 'A', 'B', 'K' and right click, go to proporties and set as admin so that they run properly, also do the same for the two programs you download so that it installs properly.
