1. Don't always have my cell phone with me 2. Depending on what kind of watch you wear, it also doubles as a sign of prestige. 3. It lets other people (ie mainly the opposite sex) have an idea of how stylish you are, and what kind of personality you potentially have 4. It's one of the very few ways men can accessorize their wardrobe
I'm guessing you're not much of a watch fan. You can make it simpler...use the clocks in public places, when you go out, use your friends' cell phones, if you live with someone, have them open the door for you. Now all you need is a wad of cold hard cash. So what happens when you lose/break/drop your cellphone? Ahhh, there's my trusty watch !

No, whenever I spend this much money on something, I usually buy it straight from the store, never a dealer or online. And I usually have it verified by an independant source. But that's besides the point because this thread is about dream / favorite watches, not necessarily ones you'd buy. I happen to like the style of the watches a lot. The one's I posted are upwards of $2000 USD. There's no way I would spend that much on a watch, because even if I did, I'd probably only wear it occasionally. It's interesting that you would post in a favorite/dream watch thread and talk about how you would not get / need a watch, and post no pics though.
Lol, thanks. My first thought when I saw these watches was "wow *drool* so shiney." They're rediculously expensive. I don't think I would spend that much on a watch....that's why I made this a dream/favorite watch thread instead of a "what I will be getting soon" thread haha. Hehe, I guess so in this case. Watch wise, I like Movado, Citizen, and LV. However I don't appreciate their handbags. It's a little overkill with their logo cloth everywhere. haha Post some pics of your favorite/dream watches ladies!
I coudn't find a picture of my dreamwatch, but it's something like this one: My wishes are: - 18 ct white gold - Roman numerals - president bracelet or pearlmaster bracelet ( the pic ) - and in the dialset i want 4 diamonds.. not around.. - black background probably.. or silver .. >< dunno yet This watch is close to my dreamwatch, not because its the brand Rolex but its because you can change some details to your own taste. But I don't want it now.. mayb in the near future ~! Now I am too young for a Rolex!
Nice watch ! I like how it has a few diamonds to make it look feminine, but not so much that the entire bezel is covered by them. How young are you? I think wearing a rolex is fine once one is in college...just have to be careful and take good care of it.
LV watches are way over priced imo.. i went into an LV store in las vegas and saw one watch in its own special glass case worth 25 grand and it was surrounded by 2 big black body guards... i prefer something a bit more subtle. this is my favorite watch.. the tag heuer carerra
Yah, they are. I don't think I'll ever spend more than $1k on a watch. I just really like how they look. I'm sure there are more affordable brands who'll knock off it's style. I thought you were gonna get the Nixon. How much does this tag cost?

Yah, werd. That's why I have my eye on this Movado, around $500USD: The tag looks real nice. I personally prefer less stuff on my dial. Besides the LVs, I would also go for a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day Date. The one with the light powder blue dial is my fav.
you're a doctor, you can afford a rolex, just save a week's wages and splurge on one lol iv found that the first thing i notice on a doctor is his watch... and then his tie. all doctors should have good watches PS that movado watch is too understated.. it doesnt look like it would be worth 500 dollars
