Plot of "Dae Jang Geum 2" revealed! Popular Korean drama series "Dae Jang Geum" or "Jewel in the Palace" will be coming back with a sequel. Its production team has revealed that the sequel will continue narrating the story of Jang-geum, the first female royal physician of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea, and build on her relationship with daughter. Lee Young Ae has not decided if she will take on the role as Jang-geum again. The production team said, "The preliminary script has been formed. The story will focus on Jang-geum and her daughter, Min So-won. If the drama can be carried on smoothly, the character Min Jeong-ho (Jang-geum's husband played by Ji Jin-hee) will be presented as a narrator of the story; otherwise, Ji can appear as a special performer. It is not confirmed if Lee Young Ae will be taking on the role as Jang-geum again; but what we can say is that she is considering this very seriously." Just as Jang-geum's mother had great influence on her life, the production team explained that the sequel will carry on narrating the influence Jang-geum has over her own daughter. Despite appearing briefly in the last episode "Dae Jang Geum", audiences have noticed the little girl, Min So-won, and shown great interests in the character.
