Former Miss Hong Kong contestant Phoebe Sin (單文柔) attended a press conference for the Big Big Kids Awards 2017 in Tseung Kwan O. It was Phoebe’s first public appearance since her dating rumor with Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) started spreading. Their dating rumor started last month, when the pair were photographed eating a meal inside Ruco’s car, parked on the hilltop. A few days later, paparazzi saw Ruco helping Phoebe with her furniture shopping, leading to more dating speculations. Ruco has since responded to the dating rumor, responding with a very firm “no”. However, he did say that he admires Phoebe, and is open to dating her. Phoebe gave a similar response as well at yesterday’s press conference. “We are friends,” she said. “We did go out to dinner after he came back from filming Succession War <天命>.” Asking if they were dating at the moment, Phoebe answered, “I want to focus on work. I’ve just got into Think Big and am doing another children’s program. None of us really have time as we’re both pretty busy.” (So you guys aren’t dating?) “We are getting to know each other. We are friends and co-workers.” (Would you say you guys would eventually develop into a romance?) “It’s hard to say what the future will hold, but work comes first.” Phoebe said she finds Ruco admirable, as he took on the responsibility of facing reporters when their rumors first broke. “I’m still a rookie so I’m not really good with my words. He assumed a lot of responsibility in this incident, and I’m very thankful.
