I introduced my new baby turtles to my older turtles of the five older turtles two of them didn't mind them being there and let them crawl all over them one of them kept hidding it's head from them and one of them, STARTED TO BITE THEM actually attacking them i dont know if he was hungry and trying to eat it but he actually started to chase them and snap at them, seriously! so i had to separate them right away (the one up above, the middle size one was the one that was chasing and attacking them) (in both pictures the little ones are climbing on some of there heads, and they dont mind)
they are just babies, there shells are still soft anyways and it's not just that the fact that it's attacking them, there is some bad karma in the air, do you think i would want to keep them in there, even if they can defend themselves? it's like putting you in a room with someone you hate, even if you dont speak to one another, dont hurt each other, dont approach each other there is still a bad vibe that floats around everywhere i dont want all my turtles to be separated, just because of ONE turtle maybe he should be put into detention for bad behaviour
i feed them lettuce or gold fish food flakes, or reptile food i change it around every few days i use to feed them can cat food, they LOVED that, but it got their swimming water all oily
depending on the food they eat, if it's veggies, than once a week, if it's reptile food, often once every two days
wow you have so many? do u haf a pond to keep them all when they grown up? They can grow pretty big... my bro's got two and they're pretty big-sized now. They live like forever
wow!! turtles!!! take the bully out of the tank right this instant!! make it into turtle soup!! but the others are "ten wah" so you can keep them!!
Cute turtles! Think the middle sized one is the dominant one of all? He might feel his territory is intruded and have to defends it. Same happened to my budgies when I bought a new young budgie to keep the first one company so he won't be so lonely but from the very first moment the 'old' bird (Budgy) saw the new one in his cage, he attacked the poor little innocent thing. The young budgie (Snowy) had to stay on the floor and avoid the meany senior bird, but 2 days later they were pals!
I remember when i was a kid, my family had 2 dogs. One day i petted one in front of the other and then i was kinda like mockin the dog that i didn't pet.. (I was a kid) ... and suddenly he bit me. Got a jab in the butt for that. >.<
