YAY finally something dumb that obama did... im tired of hearing everyone praising him like he's the next messiah. theres nothing wrong with him, its just skepticism kicks in and i think its some sort of conspiracy to create the perfect candidate when hes just so damn good. P.S. he still supports war... just somewhere else, thats all i dont like about him

it seem to me that he was thinking of 47; but accidentally said 57. Obama: I've been to ... *thinking* 57 states now, one more to go --- I wish I can go to Alaska and Hawaii; but my staff ... so, if you reason it out - he was probably thinking of 47 +1 ("one more [state] to go") excluding Alaska and Hawaii (which are 2 states) = 50 states in total. can't blame the guy for making these kinds of mistakes -- he and clinton are probably pulling 15-20 hrs PER day campaigning. the lack of sleep and the constant pressure from the media and the populace - forcing them to be in tip-top shape all time, every time. they are bound to make some of these simple mistakes.

That doesn't matter whether it's a joke or not. The question is how many of the US citizens knows how many states does the US have? Perhaps the whole audience who watched this TV interview really believes the US does have 57 +1 states!
