Imagine the possibilities if the US finally had an intelligent president. The world could be such a better place. As a Canadian, my opinion on the presidential race has no currency, but i hope that anyone older than 18 who is a US citizen on this forum will consider Obama as the person they check off on the presidential ballot. With luck Bill Clinton's wife will drop out of the democratic running soon, the only thing she is doing is leeching votes and giving sway to the republican nominate. I don't know enough about McCain to have a strong opinion on his running, but the fact he wants 100 more years of war in Iraq scares the heck out of me. 100 more years in Iraq would not only kill the US economy, but bring down the Canadian economy as well... Obama seems to be a powerful intellectual, and hopefully he will be a powerful and intelligent president if nominated.

UNbelievable. story EXTREMELY well said. other than jfk and reagan, and also due to my lack of knowledge of american political history, i have never heard such a moving, straight forward yet sophisticated presidential speech.
lol ye i agree, also tbh war in Iraq would help the US economy as its economy is built up because of weapons and that will mean more weapons will be produced which will provide jobs for more ppl. though war is always unacceptable. then again, the US do like to test out the new weapons which they make. so ye if i was in the US John McCain def won't get my vote.
he's faced with another problem even if he beats hillary for the democratic nomination is America ready for a black president....american history has a pretty bad record with black people, from slavery to the KKK and other white supremist groups/clans/people. It will be interesting what happens in november. besides all this he is an excellent speaker and he's young so he isn't soiled in the corrupted ways of washington politics, a good fresh set of eyes hopefully he can shed some new lite into issues we all face in america, and bring an end to a war that was totally pointless....
Yea, it's a well thought out speech. And the fact that McCain still wants troops in Iraq scares me too. They should not interfere with something that has no benefits

at first, i didnt want either to win due to my first impresson of obama, and how evil he looks (iono lol!) but he freaken rocks!) i would love to be lead by him, he would do a much better job then bush did, and hillary, god i can picture her in office, sittin on the chair, laughing @ america for choosing her.i think, that the best president in the past century or so was clinton, minus his scandal, he was a great president nontheless
^Clinton brought the US to a surplus during his time in office and now we are down 9 trillion dollars MY GOD.... Bush is historically the worst president ever. I hope Obama does win and frankly the democrates are very limited in their options its either the FIRST WOMAN or the FIRST BLACK president (and no i dont mean black in a derogatory way) but Obama is quite intelligent and i believe he will do very well in office
The reason why i go for Barack is because Clinton and McCain aint suitable candidates for the whitehouse and they made some statements which pissed me off quite a bit. 1) Hiliary Clinton made an anti-China proganda on tv saying: -China is giving the u.s. "tainted food" "we play by the rules (U.S. that is), and they manipulate their currency" and etc. 2) McCain is a racist anusbrain. After being a POW in the Vietnam war he stated that he will always "Hate g__k$ for life". Of course he "apologised" but its not even genuine. So if im a voter in the states Barack got my support.

^ he can run it but if asians start voting for this douche then they deserve a slap in the face. Plus if he, God forbid, become president i got a gut feelin he is gonna cause a lot of trouble in asia especially China.
