The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, ie. North Korea, has always been starved for hard currency as it has little in terms of productivity value to trade. The only thing it has, is starving people. So for many years, it has supplied thousands of its citizens to friendly nations (like China and Russia) for use as manual laborers, often in guarded and secluded camps. Recently the UN has discovered that many more of these North Korean forced labor camps are being used in other nations as well, and have been profiting approximately one to two billion a year from this slave labor system. Shockingly, construction preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is suspected of being largely supplied by North Korean and other slave labor. But tellingly, despite the hardship that these camps endure, many North Koreans jump at the chance to be sent to them, as it gives them the opportunity, however slim, to attempt escape from their closed regime. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34664440 http://www.breitbart.com/national-s...billion-selling-slave-labor-to-russia-others/ http://www.theguardian.com/global-d...-koreans-working-state-sponsored-slaves-qatar http://www.dw.com/en/a-modern-day-slave-from-north-korea/a-18325155
