Niki, Mandy, Fala & Angela Announce Nominations for 07 Commercial Awards Yesterday, TVB announced the nomination list for its 'Most Popular Commercial Awards 2007'. Actresses, Niki Chow, Angela Tong, Mandy Cho and Fala Chen were at the event to announce the nominations. Niki will be contesting for the 'Most Popular Actress Award' while Eason Chan, Liu Xiang and Richard Gere are in the running for the ‘Most Popular Actor Award'. Niki commented, "I'm very lucky because you get a lot out of advertisements. It does not pressure me." The actress-singer entered the industry after starring in Nicholas Tse's mainland China Cocola campaign. She believes that advertisements can tell the marketing value of a celebrity and so, Niki is happy that she is able to bring in money by starring in commercials. But Niki refused to disclose her fee as she is afraid that the taxation office may chase after her. Meanwhile, Fala was asked if she wished to feature in the advertisements for her rumoured boyfriend's karaoke bars. She replied, "This is not a problem as long as my company says ok. I will only be accepting a normal base fee." On the other hand, Angela has been busy filming for 'Cold Encounters of the Third Kind' (第三類暗戰). The actress expressed that it has been a tough job as the female lead and that she will be working on the mainland show 'Dancing Miracles' (舞動奇蹟) afterwards. Angela then disclosed that she is worried about having to communicate in Mandarin. At the event, Mandy was seen wearing a 3 carat diamond ring, which she said was given to her. When asked if her boyfriend had given it to her, Mandy immediately replied, "The company does not allow me to talk about this. It is best to not talk about this issue." Source: Mingpao
