Well, im planning on getting a 6pack by the end of this summer. iM 5 foot 8 and 165 pounds. All i know is that you have to follow a strict diet and do excercise, but i dont know specifically what to do. So im looking for tips or instructions. Thanks. Akademik, help me out, i know u expert in this.
lol whoa 6'8".... shouldn't you be in the NBA and rep for us Asians!!! I say just do like couple hundred sit-ups in a day and you're bound to get somethin... if not 6 at least like 3...
6 foot 8 and only 165 pounds??? Damn thats skinny. just do sit ups cuz with a 6 foot 8 165 pound frame I dont think you will have to do much dieting and cardio.
just eat hella chicken... and it'll pop out like *pow *pow... But I seriously doubt anyone's gonna look at your abs when you're 6'8"... they just gonna go like... Whoa tall asian guy... *walk pass...
dude....join judo man. I did it for high school this year. I almost achieve the six pack within 2 months. With a regular dojo, training will probably be much harder and your six pack will sure to be developed.
sit ups and stomach crunches, but make sure you give your body time to rest in otherwise it wont work. Stay away from fatty foods or excess junk cause youll burn the fat away then eat it all back, thus wasting your time. If your already skinny, doesnt your 6 pack already show?
that doesnt work very well. what you have to do is add resistance(weight) to get bigger abs...so just add weights and do sit ups like..over other day..^_^
lol i'm only 5'9" or 5'10" and i weigh 170..but my sets are every morning and every night: crunches, oblique crunches, 45/90s, supermans.
agree with aznboy...that's wut my trainer taught me....also would wanna have lots of protein in your diet...make protein shakes and lots of chicken and tuna....snack all the time on it...make sure u have balanced meals tho... try doing crunches with legs up pointing towards ceiling...dun have to lift shoulder up too much...just small crunches...do 3 sets of 25 if u could each day.... if u mastered that...do cruches w/ hands by ear....elbow pointing towards knees...w/ knees bent....when you lift body off ground, also lift feet off ground bring elbow and knee together...so feets up, knee going backwords, shoulders up, elbows going forward.........until elbow and knee touches...i hope u get what i'm trying to explain... this one is harder to do.....so just do 3 sets of 20... you should also work on rest of body too not just abs.....whole package! man this is all coming from a girl...i thought more guyz would give u advice....
lol, my bad i wrote 6'8 when i meant 5'8. And no, im not skinny, just about right, just weighed myself yesterday and im exactly 168 now. thanks for the tips so far. keep em coming
Okay now that seems more reasonable. 5'8'' 168 isnt skinny, but it does suggest that you should lower your weight so your abs will actually show. No matter how much crunches you do, it wont show because the fat is still there. Do cardio workouts such as running laps and jump ropes. Doing cardio along with a healthy diet with help you burn fat a lot faster.
you just need to be skinny. sit ups regularly. I got a 6pack. trying to get it more visible. everyday, in the morning, i do as much pushups as possible, then multiply it by two and do that many sit ups..after that do the exercise where you lay on your back, put your hands under your buns and hold your legs 6 in off the ground for about 1 min and that works your lower abs.....I do this routine twice a day EDIT: Chicken gives u abs?
walking helpss.. burnz the fat.. cause just doing situps could bulk up the stomach area.. and it'll look gross..
lol yeah..that height just seemed so wrong..anyways..i do have to disagree with inverted situps..that sends blood to your head and that isn't good for you..situps with dumbells can hurt your wrist, i suggest if you must, use flat panel weights..er..the flat circular ones and hold/hug them to your chest, safer that way..umm..about the protein supplements, use them but with discretion, not every day and not more than the dosage. though they help you increase your max, it also means you don't know when you reach your limits and you can easily strain or pull something if you are tired but the supplements make you feel not tired. lol..damn i sound like a doctor already..haha..normal situps would be best..just do morning/evening and every day and that should be fine..chicken/tuna is good protein cuz it's a lot of white meat, the dark meat isn't as healthy for you so beef isn't a prime choice to be eating lots of if you wanna bulk up on anything.
cut out simple carbs add complex carbs. simple carbs is what is holding you back. edit: damn at 5'8 and 170~lbs you better be cut.
