Nancy Wu (胡定欣) has confirmed the rumor that she has broken up with her boyfriend of nearly two years, music producer Terry Chan (陳明道). Nancy, who is currently on vacation in England, made the announcement on her Instagram on Friday (July 29). “I originally wanted to make this announcement after the promo period of my drama is over, but many untruthful reports have popped up. To not affect everyone, I think it’s better to give a simple response now!” said Nancy on Instagram. The TV Queen’s new drama, A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄>, is airing August 1. “Terry and I are now good friends!” she said, indirectly confirming that she has officially broken up with the Hong Kong musician. “He is someone who I extremely respect and admire. When we were together, he took great care of me and supported me. He is also someone who is very respectful and loyal to both his career and relationship. As for the untruthful reports about him on [gossip] magazines, because they are not true, will not comment nor do I need to! I hope our media friends will not disturb him! Thank you! Don’t worry—I am very well and I am enjoying my vacation. Do not worry! After a full battery charge, I will come back!” Nancy’s announcement came after the rumors claiming that Terry had cheated on her with Alina Lee (李靜蓮), a dance cast member from a ViuTV variety program. Terry has already denied the rumor on his social media website, also exclaiming that he was made a scapegoat. 35-year-old Nancy and 47-year-old Terry’s relationship was revealed to the public after they were spotted out on a date in March 2015.
