Sunday May 28, 2006 Hong Kong The Miss Hong Kong 2006 Pageant's finals night will be taking placing on August 20th. After numerous preliminary interviews with several hundred applicants, the final 21 candidates who were selected to be in the competion were introduced to the press last night. The press' hot favorites Suki Tsui Suk Man, Cheng Wing Sum and Lui Wai Yee all made it into the competition. Since the selected candidates have not undergone intensive training yet, the Miss Hong Kong competition planning commission stipulated group photos on stage, which was 9 feet away from reporters present. Candidates were not allowed to pose for individual photos nor could they accept individual interviews yet. Judges Eric Tsang, Dodo Cheng Yu Ling and Cheng Man Ngar were present. Eric said, "The figures in all the candidates this year are very well distributed. Most of them are very well educated as well." (There seems to be a lot of models in the competition?) "Being a model doesn't mean you have a higher chance in winning." Eric continued, "The final results are based on a well-rounded performance. The next few days training will be very important for the candidates, as they will be able to further their performance skills.
