Miriam did a radio interview at Metro Radio yesterday to promote her new song. Recently Gold Label announced buying over EMI. Miriam said there had been a lot of false rumours but now it has bought over EMI, it's worth congratulating. Now that Gold Label has singers like Jolin Tsai, Elva Hsiao and Zhang Huimei, is Miriam afraid the competition is bigger? She feels the 2 companies are different, like East Asia also do movies and concerts. When asked if she thinks the company shouldn't hire Taiwan singers? She said she all along supports local music. She also said last time every newcomer has the chance of releasing 3 albums but now due to economic pressure, many companies will be careful when investing in albums. Even if it's a very talented newcomer, only one album is released and it's hard to choose the direction. Hence she hopes record companies can give newcomers more chances. Hong Kong singers' pressure is big, hopefully there'll be more Hong Kong singers winning in music awards. There's a rumour that Edison Chen has returned Hong Kong secretly. Miriam said she didn't know but admitted keeping in touch with him through emails. Last year she discussed with Edison about cooperating with Fama in a song but their schedule couldn't match. Now they'll have to see if there's time in the 2nd half of the year. Miriam initially discussed with Edison about this song but he is too busy so now she talks to Fama directly, which she thinks is even better. Miriam said she didn't know when Edison returned Hong Kong but she bought his recent released shoes. Credits: Thousand Island Singapore - Miriam's News
