Men producing milk

This question has been bugging me.

Im wondered why do men have nipples? What is the purpose?

I have searched a bit and came up with the thought that if they are stimulated enough (so they say). They maybe able to produce milk through their nipples just like women. havent seen that happen yet! But i have heard if men have an high enough dose of the hormone prolactin, they maybe able to.

But other then that I dont know why and what purpose.

Not 100% sure, both men and women have em and they both have milk ducts in their breasts.. I forgot where exactly I heard it from, but I heard that fetuses are actually "asexual" at first, then when they continue to develop throughout the different growing stages, they start showing characteristics of what gender they are..So, nipples is like a standard for humans, like how as humans we are born with two eyes, ears, a nose, etc..

 

i think it was a design thing...we just have it....

the funny part is if u give a guy enough estrogen you can get him to form breast... and then like u said if u induce enough prolactin to a male...you'll get lactose formation in the breast (kinda funny)

maybe its guys have a repressed hidden feeling of wanting to breast feed their children

 

haha just imagine in a coffee shop a man rips his shorts off n starts squezzing his nipples n loads of milk comes out

I heard some male babies may have some liquid coming out of their nipples when they are first born, but nothing else after that. I also heard that all babies are initially female but some just go through more changes and become male, and the nipples remain.

but it is true that men can produce milk

 

men have the glands to produce milk, just like women

but when do women produce milk?
they do after pregnecy, becuase a hormone is released into their system to initiate breast feeding

men just never have that chance of creating that hormone, becuase they never get pregyy


but scientist have tested and injected men with that hormone
and what resulted . . .

design? rotflmao!!!! yeah i've read somewhere that the nipples r just like any other parts of our body...23 pairs of chromosomes where a pair to determine our gender and the rest determine the 'model' of human and how a human should look like...

Reminds me of a scene from Rob-B-Hood with Jackie Chan and Louis Koo where a baby is sucking on Chan's nipples as it was tucked under his shirt to hide him from the criminals. -lol

 

yeah and that's gross because later on in the NG scenes they had to put honey on the nipple to make the baby suck it....

 

Yeah, wonder whether this won't get the baby a trauma for life? (when the kid goes to school, classmates laughing at him: "haha, you were sucking on a man's nipple!") -ohmy
