American-born Chinese rapper MC Jin came to Hong Kong in 2008 to release his Cantonese album ABC, and has since become a major star on the local hip-hop scene, as well as a media darling with his show hosting and film/television appearances. Now, three years after his arrival, the Canto-rap wunderkind is delivering his second Cantonese album as a record of his Hong Kong experience. The songs are inspired by his thoughts and feelings in the last three years, during which he not only developed a successful career, but also became a married man. i find all his chinese raps to be crap seriously... dunno if it's his problem or just cantonese rap overall or both, something just doesn't sound right.
Same here.I support him, his english rap is quite dope but this ''Homecoming 回香靖'' is just crappy rap.
i agree, back when he was doing freestyle friday his flow and lyrics were crazy. now his music is like something from disney land
I think it's adjusted to the masses / general audience. Cuz if he went hardcore with it, there'd be buyers but probably a lot less and given the fact that singers/artists dont sell as much as top USA artists/groups, so it's all business driven. But I definitely would prefer his flow from back then such as the ones in freestyle friday. So raw and hard.
