“Johnny’s Charity Baseball Game” was held at Tokyo Dome on May 29th, and 45,000 fans attended the event. This was a part of “Marching J“, which is a disaster relief project of Johnny & Associates, and they will donate the profits from this event.

The participants were divided into “Red Team” and “White Team”, and Takizawa Hideaki (Tackey & Tsubasa) served as the representative of the “Red Team” and Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN) served as the representative of the “White Team”. Also, SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro threw the opening pitch while Katori Shingo stood in the batter’s box.

Though the game was quite close throughout, Kamenashi’s clutch hitting powered the “White Team” to an exciting win! Tanaka Koki (KAT-TUN), a member of the “Red Team”, praised Kamenashi, saying, “He (Kamenashi) is good after all.”

Kamenashi, who led the team to a win, greeted the audience, “Thank you for the warm cheers and the booing. It caused an adrenaline rush.” Kamenashi was also chosen as the MVP, and received a big trophy. He said, “Since the victory was due to all the team members becoming one, I noticed how great the power of everybody as one could be. I hope that ‘Marching J’ will be able to send a great power to the devastated areas while gathering all of our powers as one.”

After the baseball game, there was also a live segment in which Kis-My-Ft2, A.B.C-Z , and Johnny’s Jr. members showed their performances. They performed a total of 30 songs, and Tackey & Tsubasa and KAT-TUN joined the live segment as well.
