    Boys and Girls.

Do you think make up enhances women's facial features? Or merely acts as a mask/coverup?

    What are your views?

i think if u put just the right amount, which shouldnt be alot, it will enhance your looks. but if u put too much, thats just ... ugly..
i knew a girl who put make up like a centimeter thick... looked so messed up..

i think make up is a bit of both...cos u can use make up to enhance the features of ur face eg. cheekbones, lips and eyes etc...
but then it can also be used as a cover up when that irritating spot decides to pop up or u got a bump on ur forehead...
if applied properly u can cover it up successfully n still be able to show off that lovely face of urs...=]

but make up can be a mix n match...u can look good or end up lookin like a clown o_O

but obviously shouldnt listen to me cos i'm no practitioner of make up..lool...
a friend tried to advertise Avon products to me;...n i'm like avon?? whats that? xD

yeh i pretty much agree with that

use some to help enhance your look, but too much and its obvious your covering up something....

The use of make-up is and always will be to become something you are not, but want to be and can be for a short period of time. Ex: curly long eyelashes, red lips, pink cheeks, etc. Foundation = covering your skin's imperfection, a pimple, etc.

  6. i think makeup does both...

foundation n concealer can cover up pigments, scars, dark circles around the eyes...

blushes can give a bit of healthy glow... or darker ones (almost brown) can create shadow n enhance the cheek bones or make nose look taller

things like lip stick, mascara, eyeliner has no doubt used to enhance the lips n the eyes...

gosh... makeup is so wonderful -lol

lol i agree with all of you here, it's both.

but i always wonder how great guys are (gosh i sound so ham sup!! i don't mean it liek that!).. i mean like, wen i look at girls i think "gosh they're so beautiful" and be like, gosh i wish i looked like them0 but then i rmb maybe they hv tons of makeup on their face so they probs dun look that good naturally. then again its hard to look pretty naturally anyway lol! this may sound weird but sometimes i feel a tad guilty wearing makeup because i feel im not showing my true self to the world- despite feeling this it has never stopped me wearing makeup, esp. wen i go out party and stuff like that bcos i wana be pretty lol!!!

oh yea so bacxk to my guys comment. i say this becayse guys don't need makeup but they still look fine? i dont really notice their facial flaws or anything. it's much more common for a girl to be beautiful becausae tey hv makeup on rather than not having any on. as for guys, they don't need makeup but they can still attractive? whereas girls feel the need to hide the tiniest spot or sth incase someone sees it and deems it UGLY.

it's a weird concept that has been heavily influenced by the media i know :bbbbb

i think its because we're use to seeing guys in no make up, so any flaws etc dont seem obvious or is part of any masculinity a guy might show

but for girls people seem to pick up flaws on your face easier because we're use to seeing "perfect" faces on women

but then with our metrosexual guy culture, who knows loads of guys could be wearing simple makeup -lol

Make-up has a history course of acceptance. In the past it was used to beautify women and masquerade an actor, today it is tolerated as a daily routine for all individuals seeking expressions of individuality.
