Wednesday February 06, 2008 Hong Kong Lydia Sum (沈殿霞) was admitted to intensive care again on Monday evening following a worsening in the condition of her liver functions and will be spending the Chinese New Year in hospital. Lydia's daughter, Joyce Cheng (鄭欣宜) was joined by good friends Florence Chan (陳淑芬) and Chan Ka Ho (陳家豪) to visit Lydia yesterday afternoon and on her way out, Joyce said to the press that her mother was in good spirits, but they did not know if she would be well enough to leave hospital for the new year. Joyce added that she had planned some new year foods for her mother. Joyce was quizzed by reporters again in the evening, when she visited Lydia again, but this time, she refused to answer any more questions and simply thanked the press for their concern. credits: batgwa.
