Saturday October 20, 2007 Hong Kong Lydia Shum Din Ha was released from the hospital and headed home yesterday. Preferring to be in the company of others, she held a gathering with her friends at 12 noon. To avoid the paparazzi, Lydias boarded Chan Suk Fan's shuttered van and headed to the gathering. When she returned home at 8 PM, Lydia appeared in high spirits and she allowed the press to take photos of her. With full make-up on, Lydia looked well and smilingly waved at the press. Lydia's daughter, Yan Yee, and her Caucasian boyfriend visited Lydia at her apartment. Afterwards, Yan Yee left in her car. Chan Suk Fan said, "Lydia is doing better. Thanks to everyone for their concern! Please allow Lydia a bit of privacy and do not follow us!" Boarding the van, Lydia drew the blinds together and waved at the press. When I was young and in Hong Kong I saw her many times and TV. After all the years to see her again on that photo it is really sad. She doesn't look like the person in my memories.
