Sunday December 02, 2007 Hong Kong Louis Koo (古天樂) took part in a UNICEF event to mark World AIDS day yesterday and was joined by children from China and Thailand who have been affected by AIDS. They presented Louis with a scrapbook as a souvenir and he was very touched when he heard their stories. Next year, Louis plans to join UNICEF to visit AIDS victims in Africa and he also hopes to go to visit the sufferers in China and Thailand. He explained that the children at the event yesterday were wearing masks because they are yet to gain the confidence to face the public. He added that there is too much misunderstanding about the illness and he hopes that people can give more care and encouragement to the victims. Asked if he is worried about holding back his tears when he makes his visits, Louis said that he will try to be strong in front of the children. There have also been reports that Louis has issued demands to Eric Tsang (曾志偉)'s film production company for payment of his fees, totalling HK$400,000 owed from his film Happy Birthday <生日快樂>. Asked if he has received his money now, Louis declined to comment, but his manager stepped in and explained that an agreement has been reached with Eric and Louis will receive his payment by the end of the year. credits: batgwa.
