Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) has always been career-minded and chose to play down her romance with boyfriend, Philip Ng (伍允龍). At a friend’s birthday celebration, Philip downed too much alcohol and draped his arm over Linda, who was upset at his careless behavior. Along with church friends Grace Wong (王君馨) and Daniel Sit (薛世恒), Linda and Philip attended a birthday dinner earlier. Although Linda and Philip sat next to each other during the event, Linda opted to ignore her boyfriend the entire time. Having always denied dating Philip to preserve her image, Linda avoided intimate behaviors in public. However, Philip had one too many drinks that night and began acting playfully. When the group of friends sang happy birthday and stood together to pose for a birthday picture, Philip purposely stood next to Linda and put his arm around her shoulders. Seeing her boyfriend’s intentions, Linda attempted to slowly shift away. Not catching on to Linda’s hints, Philip began trying to feed Linda. When Linda starting coughing, Philip acted on instinct and slowly brushed her back. Almost immediately, Linda turned and glared at Philip to hint at him to stop his actions. With his mood destroyed, Philip sat in silence for the rest of the night and even left separately from Linda to downplay their relationship. After seven years of secretly dating, it appears Linda is still not willing to reveal her relationship with Philip. It is especially crucial for the actress to minimize any negative rumors due to the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards, as Linda is depending on All That is Bitter is Sweet <大藥坊>, to help her win the Best Actress award.
