Using this time, these five artists officially became students of several well renowned veteran actors and actress. As a child star, the audience became familiar with Leila Tong in her role as Zhong Chu Hong in the movie Once a Thief over a decade ago. Her recent series such as Twin of Brothers and The Last Breakthrough cause her to gradually rise above the other actresses in TVB. When asked why she signed a new management company in China, Leila responded that China and HK are really just one big family. She doesn’t really care where she is working either China or HK, as long as there is space for improvement and opportunities. When reporters asked if the reason for her moving towards mainland is because of some problems with TVB, Leila immediately denied any such thing. She said, “I still have contracts with TVB and I’ll continue filming TVB series. Coming to China was mostly for music records, because I personally like singing mandarin songs. So when my HK management asked me if I had any interest towards working with China, I decided yes”. Besides Leila, there were also several young male artists such as Sun Wei, and Liu Guan Lin that also signed under the new management company. At the press conference and ceremony many people including Technorati’s CEO, Hai Rei’s CEO, ENLIGHT TV PRODUCTION CO CEO, several well respected directors including Huang Jian Zhong and Lu Chuan, several HK singers and artists including Dave Wang, Robert Kwok, Sonija Kwok, Jessica Hsuan, Benny Chan, and Sammul Chan all sent gifts to represent their well wishes to Leila and the different artists. credits: leilatong.com/bbs.
