After taking a few days off to attend his son Hawick Lau’s (劉愷威) million-dollar wedding in Bali, Lau Dan (劉丹) returned to the studios yesterday to continue the filming of the popular TVB sitcom, Come Home Love <愛·回家>. Content and excited, Lau Dan greeted the press cheerfully and happily answered the press’ questions about Hawick and his wife, Yang Mi (杨幂). Asked if the newlywed couple will come down to Hong Kong to visit Lau Dan for the Lunar New Year holidays, he said, “They’re both very busy in China. They don’t have vacation time.” He also revealed that though the couple are both working in Shanghai, their work sites are about an hour and a half away from each, making it difficult for them to meet up. The couple expressed that they would not be holding a second wedding banquet in Hong Kong. Lau Dan voiced his disappointment but agreed with the decision, saying that wedding banquets are a hassle to organize. Asked if Hawick and Yang Mi are planning to have a child soon, Lau Dan laughed, “They will announce it when they have one.” In regards to the rumor that Yang Mi is currently four months pregnant, Lau Dan said, “The reports said it. I didn’t say it.” Has he asked the couple about the reports? “There’s no need to. If they do [have a child] they will tell me.” Although there are no baby plans for the couple yet, Lau Dan expressed his hopes to have a grandchild soon. “I’d be lying if I said no, but I’m not that impatient about it!” He said that he would not tell Yang Mi to retire from the industry, as he knows she is very career-minded. “But I do think that both Hawick and Yang Mi should lessen their workload.” Creds: Oncc
