Saturday June 21, 2008 Hong Kong The Hong Kong premiere screening of DreamWorks Animation's summer blockbuster Kung Fu Panda took place on Thursday evening and was attended by the film's Cantonese voice actors Eason Chan (陳奕迅), Denise Ho (何韻詩), Josie Ho (何超儀) and Jaycee Chan (房祖名). Many celebrities and their children were also spotted in the audience, including Donnie Yen (甄子丹) and his family, Lynn Xiong (熊黛林), Janet Ma (馬詩慧) and Fiona Yuen (袁彩雲). Eason was definitely well and truly absorbed in the atmosphere, giving out roars and posing in the Kung Fu stances of his character in the film, Kung Fu Panda - Po. Josie laughed that he has been unable to detach himself from the role. Eason added that he was very honoured to have worked with Jackie Chan (成龍) on this project and hoped to have the opportunity again. Asked about the news that Kelly Chen (陳慧琳) has announced the news of her forthcoming marriage during her recent concert, Eason seemed quite shocked about this, but added his congratulations for her. Thinking back to his own wedding, where he only invited around 100 of his friends and family, upsetting many people, he smiled that if he had invited everyone, he would have to hire out the Coliseum for three days. Asked if this means she will be bullied by her boyfriends, she recalled the occasion when she was performing a sexy dance with Andy Hui (許志安) several years ago and this had upset her boyfriend. Asked if the person in question was Wilfred Lau (劉浩龍), she did not respond and said that this was a mystery. Asked about the recent news of her mentor, Anita Mui (梅艷芳)'s will being upheld and the continual contest by Anita's mother, Denise said that she was very relieved when she heard the verdict because the case has gone on for nearly five years and is an unhappy affair. She declined to comment about the prospect of an appeal. Jaycee was asked about the recent incident where Jackie had met with angry protestors, unhappy about his controversial comments against the Taiwanese government, after a charity appearance in Taiwan. He responded that his father had wanted to fulfil his commitment to the charity event and felt that people should separate the arts and political arenas. Jaycee defended his father, saying that he has a strong love for the Taiwanese people, otherwise he would not have fallen in love with his mother, Joan Lin (林鳳嬌), and that his father's comments were directed at the government and not the people of Taiwan. credits: batgwa.
