Kings of Comedy May Team Up After leaving his comfort zone of movie comedies for about two years, director Feng Xiaogang is now thinking of making a return. The Shanghai Youth Daily reports that Feng is planning to shoot another "Hesuipian" or New Year Movie, which will be called "Guizu", or literally "Noble". Feng is thinking of inviting Hong Kong comedy master Stephen Chow to join the cast for the shooting of this so-called "most laughable" comedy. It's said that the story of the movie will be written in Feng Xiaogang's usual black comedy style, making fun of the country's wealthy individuals. Feng plans to invite his long-time partner Ge You to be the lead actor of the movie. Apparently Feng Xiaogang's biggest dream is to have Stephen Chow and Ge You together in the movie so they are currently contacting Chow regarding the matter. The post-production editing of Feng Xiaogang's latest war epic, "The Assembly" has yet to be finished, even though the director has started his preparation work for the new movie. The report says that Ge You also attends the screenwriting of the story. However, it will only be confirmed whether Stephen Chow will appear in the movie when shooting starts, the report says.
