Wednesday March 1, 2006 Hong Kong The kings and queens of music are set to collaborate to create 1 new album. This album will consist of 8 new duet songs. Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan are set to duet while Kelly Chen and Liza Wang are also set to duet. This album is breaking all barriers and for the new year, bringing the collaboration atmosphere back to Hong Kong music. In this album, there will be 16 artists working in pairs in creating 8 new songs. The pairs will be Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan, Kelly Chen and Liza Wang, Andy Hui and Patrick Tang, Eric Suen and Stephanie Che, Wilfred Lau and 胡蓓蔚, Paul Wong and Joey Tang plus Lui Yau Fai, Jordan Chan and Little Child (unless 小孩 is a singer), and last but not least, Gia Lin and Rammie Guo. All 8 new songs will be created by composer Ng Lok Sing and lyricist Lam Jik. In this album, Kelly and Liza will be singing a song called "TBC," it will be the first song to debut off the album. Liza was the first one to request a collaboration with Kelly. Liza saying that Kelly has a healthy image, she works hard, and her love life is not all over the papers. The song will talk about women not getting married early and focusing on their careers which is present in both Kelly and Liza's lives. Also, Jacky and Eason represent two different time period's "song gods." This time, it was Jacky who personally chose Eason as his partner to sing with. The two have performed multiple times on stage but, this will mark the first time they've worked together in the studio. As for Andy Hui and Patrick Tang, as both of their contracts are up with Go East, they both are willing to work hard on this duet. As for the album itself, Go East is going to publish and promote this album. Go East decided to go with this duet album because the public has been saying there isn't enough duets.
