Kevin Cheng Wants Daughter But Not Marriage

The 2007 Watsons HWB Awards ceremony was held today at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Wanchai and was attended by many celebrities, including Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Gigi Lai (黎姿), Mandy Cho (曹敏莉), Liza Wang (汪明荃), Lee Si Kei (李司棋) and Woo Fung (胡楓) - all representing their respective sponsors' health and beauty products. Alex Fong (方力申) also attended as guest performer.

In his second year as celebrity spokesperson for a health food product, Kevin said that obviously he hopes his sponsors' product does well and he is pleased with his fee. He also expressed satisfaction in his workload over the last year: "I have set my next target to buy an apartment, preferably at Redhill Peninsula. From an investment perspective, the best thing would be to buy a place that would keep its value. I hope I can do this within three years." When the reporters asked him if he was planning to start a family, he said: "I have my plans, there are many types of women and since seeing Nick Cheung (張家輝)'s daughter, I would like one too, but I just want to have a daughter and not get married yet, so I don't think anyone would do that for me. For now, I will have to be happy playing with other people's children."

Gigi has been busy filming recently and still visiting her brother in hospital. Asked how her brother is getting on, she replied: "He has been continuously receiving treatment and will have another operation soon. Everything is down to the doctors to arrange." With the TVB anniversary drawing near, Gigi said that she has not really thought about awards and said she is not lacking in confidence, but she is just not thinking about it.

Alex shared his thoughts on the recent ups and downs in the stock market, saying: "I have been investing since I started working and although I have not made very much, I have not lost anything. My thoughts are to buy some quality stocks and not split your investment too much." Asked if he is saving up to get married, he said: "Don't put it that way, I would rather give my parents a better life and hope that I can buy a detached house to become my ancestral home."
