Negative reviews on Grace Chan’s (陳凱琳) performance in the TVB anniversary drama Captain of Destiny <張保仔> is currently a hot topic among discussion forums. At the TVB Anniversary Lighting Ceremony held a few days ago, Film King Anthony Wong (黃秋生) gave his honest thoughts on Grace’s acting in the pirate drama, describing her performance in the series as “a nuisance.” However, he did praise the 24-year-old rookie, exclaiming that she is one of the few newcoming actresses with great character. Grace’s boyfriend, Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), agreed with Anthony’s critique. The Blue Veins <殭> star recently made a public appearance for a charity event, and he too was asked for his honest opinions on Grace’s over-the-top delivery and acting in Captain of Destiny. “There is a process to everything,” Kevin said. “She is not bad for a rookie, but you cannot skip high school and go straight to college after primary school. You need to go to high school so you can build your foundation.
