On August 25, Hong Kong singer-songwriter Kenny Chung (鍾鎮濤), better known as Kenny Bee, and his long-time partner Fan Jiang (范姜) held their wedding ceremony on Bali Island in Indonesia. Both dressed all in white, the 61-year-old groom and the 42-year-old bride exchanged their vows at a six-star luxury hotel called Alila Villas Uluwatu. Kenny also performed four songs – two oldie English songs and two Chinese songs dedicated to mothers. The ceremony continued into the evening with a celebratory party and a fireworks array. Prior to the ceremony, the guests held a bet to see who would cry first at the wedding, and many of them predicted that Kenny would be the first to break down. However, actress Rosamund Kwan (關之琳) ended up shedding tears first when she went on stage to deliver a speech and was overcome by emotions. After that, the newlyweds and the other guests got teary-eyed as well. Because neither Kenny nor Fan Jiang’s parents were able to attend the ceremony, the couple will be holding another wedding ceremony and feast in Hong Kong at the end of the year. “I really didn’t think that much about it,” admitted Kenny when asked about the scheduling conflicts. “I just wanted to give Fan Jiang status…. I feel we’re quite steady and it’s more meaningful.” Kenny officially divorced his first wife, Teresa Cheung (章小蕙) in 1999 amid rumors of marital infidelity and financial troubles. Afterward, he began dating Fan Jiang, with whom he currently has two daughters. When asked if there was anything he wanted to declare to his wife, Kenny replied, “I don’t need to declare anything. We’re already husband and wife, and we understand each other in everything.” Apart from Rosamund, other celebrity guests present were Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Alan Tam (譚詠麟), Maggie Cheung (張曼玉), Jacky Cheung (張學友), Nick Cheung (張家輝), and Alex To (杜德偉).
