Wednesday December 05, 2007 Hong Kong A press event was held today for the 2007 Four Stations Combined Music Awards <四台聯頒音樂大獎>, attended by the gold and silver awards winners for Outstanding Performance last year, Janice Vidal (衛蘭) and Justin Lo (側田). Draws were made for which set of the combined awards will be presented at the respective awards ceremonies and the results were announced that TVB will be presenting the combined award for the Best Song, CRHK will be presenting the combined Album award, Metro will be presenting the Outstanding Performance award and RTHK will be presenting the Media award. Janice and Justin offered their predictions for this year's Outstanding Performance award and agreed that Kary Ng (吳雨霏) stands a good chance of winning. Janice explained that she did not tip herself for any awards, not because she is not confident, but because there are many other good singers this year. She said that she is busy recording her new album at hte moment and hopes to release it before the end of the year. Asked if she was disappointed about not making it into the top five female singers at the Chik Chak awards, Janice said that she was already very pleased to have made it in last year. Asked how she felt about her boss Leon Lai (黎明)'s performance as a Beijing opera dame in his new film Mei Lan Fang <梅蘭芳>, Janice supported him and said that with his good looks, he will look great whatever he does. Justin said modestly that he was not confident in his chances this year, because there are so many great songs this year. However, he would like to win an award, either for his album or as a producer, so he will continue to work hard. He is particularly pleased with his song Men KTV <男人KTV> and said that his manager Paco Wong (黃柏高) has faith in him, but he admitted that he has never been a very confident person: "My confidence has always been lower than other people because I have been picked on too much.
