The pop princess's father refuted the model's comment about being well-liked by the entire Tsai family

Despite opposition from her parents and close friends, Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai is still following her heart and pursuing her romance with model Vivian Dawson.

On Nov 18, Jolin met up with Vivian for a bowling date, after her father sent her home from her osteopathy treatment. The singer was all smiles, while Vivian looked serious. The pair would glance around occasionally, to see if they were being photographed.

Later, Jolin and Vivian made their exit under the cover of their friends, when they noticed there were reporters.

At around 8pm, a group of reporters approached Jolin's father as he was leaving Jolin's residence.

When probed if he had arranged matchmaking sessions for his daughter because he and his wife were unhappy with Vivian, the amicable man clarified, "No."

The night before, Vivian had shared that the Tsai family liked him. To that, Jolin's father replied, "No," before adding, "I haven't seen him in a while."

Reporters then queried if Vivian would sweet-talk and call him father-in-law. Father Tsai shook his head and let on that Vivian called him "Mr Tsai".

"You know Eddie Peng and Jay Chou, do you think I was surprised?" Jolin's father threw back instead, when asked if he was surprised Jolin's boyfriend is of mixed blood. Actor Eddie Peng and superstar Jay Chou were previously linked with Jolin.

He later added, "Eddie returned [to Taiwan] from abroad too."

Reporters then pressed on, asking if he had met Eddie before. He replied, "I met him when they first started [dating]", confirming a past relationship between Jolin and Eddie.

When asked which of the three -- Jay, Eddie and Vivian -- he was most pleased with, Father Tsai replied awkwardly, "This is a sensitive question. It's best to let her decide."

He added that being friends did not mean that they would become husband and wife in future and believed that Jolin will make careful considerations when it comes to her marriage.

Well it doesn't really sound like the doesn't approve of Vivian. But that's the paparazzi for you. Why interview the dad so much? Is he the equivalent to Joe Simpson? Pimps out his daughter Jessica to the media?

Who fucking cares. Man, Chinese media and their stupid reports.
