    *Spoilers Alert*

Jessica Hsuan (宣萱), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯), Vincent Wong (王浩信), and Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤) attended a promotional event yesterday for the TVB action drama, Tiger Cubs <飛虎>. Despite airing only once a week, an unconventional time slot for typical TVB dramas, Tiger Cubs achieved successful ratings.

Regarding the leaked spoilers of her character’s death in the finale, Jessica said, “Talking about it already? It’s not going to be good to watch if you already know what happens, but even if I do die, I’m probably going to have a twin sister that comes in afterwards. It’s that corny!”

Netizens noticed that Jessica often gets kidnapped in her dramas. Jessica laughed, “I think a lot of TVB dramas are like that. Cop dramas always use this same storyline. The story needs to be intense, yet it also needs to be appropriate for broadcast. There are many limitations, so these type of scenes are the safest to play. I’m sure there are many other artists that always get kidnapped too.”

When asked if TVB purposely left Tiger Cubs to broadcast at non-prime time hours because she and Joe Ma (馬德鐘) have already left the company, Jessica denied the claims. “When we first started filming, they already told us that it would air in a new time slot, in a format similar to that of American television series. Both the audience and I are having a hard time chasing the show. There’s only one new episode every week! Even I have to look at my watch every Sunday night, waiting for 10PM to come!”

Jessica added that Tiger Cubs is her last drama with TVB and feels relieved that her last drama is getting high ratings. As for rumors of Tiger Cubs getting a sequel or film version, Jessica expressed that she rarely does films, but welcomes discussing plans for a sequel with TVB.

Yesterday was also Vincent Wong’s birthday. His wife, Yoyo Chen, gave him a birthday kiss and announced that she will give her husband a surprise that night. When asked if they plan for another baby, Vincent joked, “We’ll work hard tonight!”

Jessica barely get screen time in this series, even when Joe is leaving he gets more. Hmm I think this could have a sequel but it would be pointless if these casts are gone.

I was a die hard TVB series fan up until I graduated from university, but then it went down hill from then. The storylines are so predictable, as if the screenwriters keep recycling storylines and hope that it would be a hit.
