Wow...i never thought id ask this question... but is popularity really that important? well it is for my school...all the popular kids are rich...which makes them a snob...but wut i really hate is how people think that once u have money...u have everything.. looks....the smarts...the taste...ill be the first to disagree...all the wites think they know everything l...ther used to be two chinese that speaks fluently in chiense and english...which is me nd my frd...but since she moved...im the only one...in my whole entire HS...so i started to hang wif da FOBBIE azns.. so the wites are asking me...y da hell are u hanging wif dem...so i found out that thers a fine line between popular and un-popular and azns dat has ESL arnt popular...wut kinda rule is dat? i think ther da ones that are rich... cuz ther the ones da has parents wif money... wut do u guyz think..popularity important?
wow thats weird.. that's totally not the case at my school. like sure, we have a popular group where everyones rich and beautiful, but they're okay... some DO think they're all that, but many of us just ignore it. and what?? everyone in your school is either white or fobby? that is weiiird. =\
well..thers like like only azns are da filipino group..and da korean group...which has totally no contact wut so ever wif da wites... they just see... ignore...the wites dunt usually make fun of them...but thers like about 7 hkers dat are ESL...ther the ones people like to make fun of...i dunno y...i think ther cool..but aparently dats not wut the wites think...im not really popular...but some popular kids just take me as an aliance...ir eally wanna change schools cuz its just soo complacated
I think popularity is important to a certain extent. It's not so much about attention, but I think it's good to know a lot of people because a large part of school/work is based on connections and networking. However, I don't consider being popular all that. I mean, if you feel comfortable hanging around a particular group of people, their popularity shouldn't matter much, right? Just be yourself As for the popular kids who like to make fun of others, I think it's best to just ignore them. There's people like that almost everywhere... it not really something that can be avoided.
Everyone think that if they have to look like rich people and dress like them.. But i think that it depend on people... Popularity is sometimes important but too much popularity is really annoying.. Peachey is right about ' Just be yourself'.
Lots of people think status is important to ones self...for me...im alwayz being myself.. if u dunt like who u see...den wutever...im not gonna change...but the problem wif popularity is that u tend to change or to adjust urself to fit in wif the popular people.. dats wut my frd did b4 she moved...it was very sucsessful...but i duno if she was all that happy...
who doesn't want to b popular...u wanna get known and stuff..tahts wat i try to do lol...make a name for urself...some asians r rich tooo and white ppl don't got everything...we asians huslte for our money..we don't go to our daddys and mommys..so eff them

nah, being popular at school means nothing. you got to remember that ppl there probably arent you real friends but just trying to use you to get into another circle. besides if ppl need to feel popular, then they're just plain insecure which is not a good way to set yourself up for life! also, ppl who like being popular can't bear to lose that popularity so they tend to do needy things just be comfortable for being youself and then ppl who like you for you will always come to you.. if noone likes you, then you got another problem! haha
being popular isnt important.. but it's certainly fun to just know a lot of pple and have them know you... like know every race or group at your school.. cuz we are talkin about school in this situation right? and you can jus go up to them and talk...
