I think so because on my current job one of my co-worker and supervisor stabbed me in the back. I ask my boss why all you paiding me salary and the other guys getting paid cash which I know how to perform his duties too. I'm performing equal tasks as him and he getting paid cash which I was employed early then him. I ask her can you paid me hourly instead because when I extended my hour she doesn't paid me overtime. Then she tell me a crocking stupid excuses we do not paid you by hourly. We paid you fixed hourly. Shit, there no such thing as fixed hourly. Then I ask her can I work part time and she still paid me by salary. I go what the fuck. I'm doing part time and why are you still paiding me salary instead of hourly. I refused to do the work and she went and hire some jack ass person no experience performing accounting tasks which I was still employed. It got me pissed off and cursed her out and they looked like a jack ass. What a joke? From my experience, never work for asian boss, they are cheaaaaaap!!! Especially, a tawinese boss, but this one was an chinese boss. I rather have my own business then work for someone else. Oh well, back to college and work hard and have a business of my own some day.
you cant judge "all" asian bosses on one experience you had my uncle owns a resraunt and as far as i know, he treats their employees with full respect and gives them a cash present every christmas so that sound good.
I didn't say all asians boss are cheap, but most of the majority of them are cheap!!!! The position that they wanted me to perform should be higher salary then what they are willing to pay me. The position that I was performing was accounting tasks and I was just helping them out and I wasn't getting paid for it, but when I ask for a salary increases they refuses. If that isn't cheap then I don't know what is? Oh well, that is life learn from your mistake and never let people take advantages of you. Time for me to go back to college finish my degree.
well ones i had exp w/ were CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP...work u to death and pay sooooooooo #$%%$# little!!! like super short breaks that are illegal! e.g. 15 min break for 8 hour shifts...only 1/2 if u work more than 8 hours....no overtime pay...etc etc...evil..evil child labour ppl!!! (well that wuz when i wuz still considered...er...underage?) but even so....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Just because they are cheap doesnt always mean they are bad. Chinese people on the whole are poor, so when they come into money they are not going to waste any of it! They just know the value of money. This usually applies to asian parents too
99% of all asian bosses are CHEAP, that is why turnover is high, unless u are stupid enough to stay, due to ignorance, and lack of language skills. but no fear. as long as u know the federal and state employee laws and regulations, they cant run far. especially if u have good good relations with lawyers. if all else fails, report them to the IRS for tax evasion.

OMG i agreeeeeee!!!!! one Asian boss i worked for were not only cheap but also a "salty pig hand"!!!!!! he put his hand on my waist n smacks my bum!! ewwww!!!! -bash so i quit the next day... his wife was happy i quit haha

My boss may be demanding and temperamental, but the one thing he is NOT is cheap. He approved a $50 breakfast allowance monthly for everyone. He takes everyone out for lunch at least once a month. He is also flexible with breaks. As long as your job is done, you can take some time out to your personal errands, just let him know in advance. Operations staff get to go home early, if they complete their jobs early. On top of the 'sau kong' (closure for CNY) lunch and 'hoi kong' (reopening after CNY) lunch, each of us get a $50 red packet. On the 'hoi kong' day, nobody really works. The boss will play cards with everybody (usually blackjack) and let everyone win. I caught him at it a few times. His theory is that everyone likes to win and being happy is very good way to start the New Year. I guess that's why there are almost no staff turnover here. We have been working together for many, many years. This is not to say that my boss doesn't have any faults. His generosity kinda even things out a bit.
