As many people that don`t live in Hk realized, http://mytv.tvb.com/ is being blocked in other regions (outside HK). So in order to watch MyTV from other regions, the browser has to add in HK proxy's. Here are some instructions. MS IE Browser:1. click Tools=>Internet Options 2. select Connections tab then LAN settings 3. under Proxy Server, check 'use a Proxy server for your LAN' 4. enter "61.92.58.11" at the Address Column 5. enter 808 at the Port Column, click OK, OK 6. then go to http://mytv.tvb.com/ Mozilla Firefox Browser:1. click Tools => Options 2. select Advanced then Network tab 3. under Connection, click Settings 4. at Connection Settings, select Manual proxy configurations 5. at HTTP Proxy, enter "61.92.58.11" 6. at HTTP Proxy's Port, enter 808, click OK, OK 7. then goto http://mytv.tvb.com/ Please note reset to NO PROXY after you finished (watching), to return to your normal setting. *Whenver the proxy no longer works, go to the follow link and just replace the proxy and the proxy's port http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/search-132 Source: http://sherentang.blogspot.com/2010/11/info-how-to-use-mytv-for-non-hongkong.html (not sure if I'm allow to post links) -_-
Ill try this. I'll let you guys know about my result after. EDIT: Your address + ports doesn't work for me.. but i went ahead and used another one. I say it finally LOADS, but the ads is slow. Going through video now EDIT: 2 I conclude that this sites proxy links are working great. I've found other HK proxies before, but they were no good. The first one i tried on that site is already working. The ads may load a bit slow, but the video goes through at a reasonable speed. At a 25 minute show, it only stopped one to buffer.. then everything was all good.
i actually knew the proxy didnt work and i was like hey... what if i just use another HK proxy and that solved the problem
Yes, you can use that program to view dramas. But they have limited shows on there. Like i always wanted to watch "巨聲工房", but i can never find download links because nobody even uploads the torrent anymore. But with this, i can watch that show with no problems ^^
How did you get yours working? The steps at the top - don't work for me.. When I enter the proxy address and then try to go on mytvv site - the browser isn't working for me. :( I want to watch variety shows that is on there..
I haven't used MyTV in a while. I usually use Opera for daily surfing.. but i use Mozilla for MyTv. I use this or this to find proxy. Enter the IP & the port. For example... ---> 203.202.224.174:8080 203.202.224.174 is the IP.. and 8080 is the port. It's separated by a colon. : Sometimes its slow, & sometimes its fast. You just got to keep retrying IP's+ports until you find one thats working. Sometimes it lags though, so u gotta let it load~~
arrgh! i give up! lol. Some of the proxy - broswer don't work. and the others - everytime i go on mytv - says cant be streamed outside HK.
What browser are you using? Those two sites i provided usually work. You sure you're putting the IP & port on where they're suppose to be?

Not all the proxy's work. Guess you gotta trial and air it. This one works for me : 218.189.139.52:3128 Took me about 6-8 times before i found one thats working. Note: Ads will likely lag.
