she is by far my favorite japanese singer she is so real, unlike alot of other artists who come off very fake and tacky. I will go marry her one day -tongue2

Yui sings so well, she can hit notes so easily that are high.
Haha, I just watched Taiyou no Uta again for the second time today, and my favorite part is when she sings Skyline.

i don't listen to any jap music apart from Yui. she is the only jap singer that actually catches my attention and impresses me.

btw, i doubt u will be able to marry Yui. if u do then a big congrats will be coming ur way.

 

Yui is pretty good, I still like Mika and Utada better though.

 

I'm rather new to YUI, Just downloaded her discography a few weeks ago, as well as a concert DVD and I have to say her live performances, while good, haven't blown me away as some other JPop performers. Still, I like the fact that she is a real musician, composing and also playing the guitar.

Which of her 2 albums would you recommend the most for a newcomer?

i would recommend her first one i think though both are just as good. if u want a slightly more rocky sound go for the second album. what jpop perfomers have blown u away?

I've started to listen to both of her albums more and more and I am becoming her fan, I really like the overall quality. As far as live performances go, I've seen a few on youtube which haven't impressed me at all. Just recently I got her First Live DVD, its good but not amazing.

JPop performers who have blown me away LIVE... Do As Infinity, Misia and Ayumi Hamasaki, even Namie Amuro on some ocassions. I have concerts by many others, performances which are very good but in my opinion not as amazing: ELT, Hikaru Utada, Garnet Crow, Hitomi Shimatani, Bonnie Pink, Hitomi Yaida and Mai Kuraki just to name a few. The thing YUI has going for her other than her voice is that she actually plays the Guitar, I love that from Bonnie Pink and Hitomi Yaida, but I still think Yui's voice needs to mature a little and surely it will for the better (not that is bad now, don't get me wrong).

In any case, I'll be surely keeping a tab on her future releases.

 

I reallu like her song 'Goodbye days' its really a nice song and i also watched the movie too which is was reallyh nice.
