hmm are you looking for just the price difference of the ink? cause the think i would choose the hp because i have one really similar to it and the quality of the printing is realy nice even when i set the thing to low quality =/

If you print a lot, then i strongly suggest don't get inkjet multifunction at all. I had a Brother all-in-one inkjet printer & it drinks ink so fast & often that the peripheral costs way exceeds the cost of the printer in few months. Even if you don't print anything & turn it off, it cleans itself (the tubes & print head) occasionally & drinks even more ink. So now for printing most documents, i use a mono laser printer, which is much more cost effective, & haven't got to a time where it needs toner replacement after 1.5 yrs. im waiting for colour laser multifunctions to drop in price so that i can have laser copying, rather than retaining the inkjet just for the scanner function.

I had a hp photo printer and the inks were really cheap and the prints were nice. But now I just wait for a cheap printer to be free or close to free - usually involves sending in for rebates.

i woudl pick the HP one even tho the canon one is better, in my opinion the Canon printers at my school are pretty crap compared to the HP ones

I read somewhere that HP printing devices are made by the Canon developers. I've used both of them and they both work fantasticly

I have a AIO HP printer and it works pretty good, inks are cheap at 123inkjet. Make sure you have paper feeder too in case u wanna scan multiple pages.

I have both HP and Canon. I feel that HP printing qualities are better but if you would like to go for lasting, Canon last for very long. I had my Canon printer for almost 10 years (yea... that long) and it's still working fine.

both are good... but u have to remember... HP practically built their company by selling their printers... and there's a reason why they're still around...

Well, if they're the same like evolution said then go for the HP just because it looks nicer. I have the HP one and it works great, though the scanner for both of them will be a bit slow.

  13. I would choose which ever closest matched my computer.... lol

the quality of the two are about the same...what is your main purpose for getting one?

are you going to print lots of documents and what not? i'd recommend getting a cheapo monochrome black laser printer. it will save you money right off the bat on toner.

if you want color than either of them are decent

  18. i advise you buy an older model epson printer lke a C62 for example, i have one and it gets the job done and best of all............. ink cartridge is 1 pound each, ink prices is what its all about unless your some large company who wont notice these things.

no need to choose really, try out all of them, with printers so cheap nowadays, why bother getting ink replacements, i change the printer whenever ink runs out...
