Just wondering, how many sit ups and push ups can you guys do? we had a fitness test today in school and this one guy did 80 push ups non-stop! when he got to his 50's he got really shaky but he just kept on going and it looked like he was gonna collapse lol -noclue guess he was just trying to show off -rolleyes Anywayz, I can do 50 sit-ups and 25 push-ups! sit-ups are easy for me, but push ups? UGh....I can never get past 25! it's hard and my arms get all sore afterwards.
i used to do 60 a day, build it up add another 5 every 2 days sit ups about 100-200. but im hella lazy these days, signed up for the gym again.
I can do sit ups for days and not be tired. The most that I do per day is about 300. I can do about 50 push ups in one shot.
dang girl! I can't even do that much! lol I'm like draken..usually do 2 sets of 50 for each. Damn, I needa start hitting the gym more often.
used to gym but meh im too friggerin lazy ... i used to be able to do 100 pushups non stop ....nw hahaha doubt i can even do 50 non stop -lol sits up can vary with me
This is a hard/vague question to answer b/c everyone has their own types of situps/pushups... hmm.. and what about all those people who think they can do like 100, but they're actually doing it wrong/cheating? -lol
Same here man. I want to go to the gym regularly, but I been puttind it off at times. Its hard to stay committed when you have other more important priorities to attend. -cool
It doesnt matter how many sit ups or push ups you can do, its how many you can do the right way. Im sure when most people hit the 50th mark they tend to start cheating and that does not provide any benefits to your body. for push ups I divide them in different sets. 3 sets of diamond push ups with 10-15 reps. 3 sets of regular push ups of 20-25 reps, 3 sets of 10-15 decline push ups and incline push ups. That way it works different parts of you upper body. For sit ups i do 4 sets of 50 rep sit ups. At the gym i use the decliner. Im so busy now that i dont have much time to go to the gym and i tend to slack off, but by doing these excercises allows me to get stronger faster after the hiatus. a 10 pound medicine ball also helps with the sit ups by adding resistance.
right before going to the beach last summer i did 436 situps the night before... but i didnt get sexyabs like i thought ROFL i couldnt even stand up straight the next day. 4 set of 20 pushups for me or 45 straight
hehe i could do like 20 sit ups and 10 push ups -blush its really sad cuz if i did that i would of been a GOOD day for me already -sweat
When I was still training in the US Army, the requirement for my age group were 42 pushups and 50 situp. Situps are the hardest part for me.
i do 3 sets of 100 or sumtimes 4 sets if i have energy for sit ups and 3 sets of 50 push ups (regular) and 2 sets of 30 for diamond push up
