How do you rip vid off the web?

I usually use realplayer to record vid and stuffs but after i updated the player, nothing seems to work right. I am not sure whether the new player has more restriction to what it can and can not record. If so, what other software can I use to record vids from web. Thanks!

 

i'm using the latest version of realplayer and i haven't had much problems with downloading videos off the web, but i don't download videos frequently. you can use www.keepvid.com to download .mp4 and .flv files off youtube.

Internet download manager or IDM, has a built in function that allows you to download videos off streaming sites.

 

If you use firefox I use this addon called DownloadHelper. It rips any media type off the net
