Well my birthday celebrations last afew days becasue I was born on the Chinese new year so one day I'd celebrate with friends and another I'd be celebrating with family. We really just go with the flow and find stuff to do. sometimes we go paintball then go watch a film and then resturant then just hang.
Usually, on my birthday, I have a nice dinner with my family & friends. They usually get me a strawberry shortcake from my favorite pastry shop. Afterwards, we usually go out to a bar for some drinks, and then I go home to open my presents. On the actual day last year, I spent most of the day with my ultimate significant other, my job. I worked 'til about 10pm. A friend of mine showed up with some cake and drove me to this one restaurant (the only one in that area that was open ‘til midnight). He bought me 1 lily, my favorite flower, took me home after dinner, and that was it. This year, my friends & I are heading down to Miami for my birthday.
I usually just throw an asian-style type party at my house and invite all of my friends/family over. It's not that fun but at least that way you get more presents! lol j/k Last year we went to this one arcade place to celebrate. They gave out free pizza!
For my last bday i didnt do any thing besides having hot pot in my apartment with my roommates. the year before my friends suprised me with a cake. The one before that I had a birthday party at a restaurant. At least 40 people came. I dont really look forward to my bday anymore cuz to me its just any ordinary day. I know certain people throw week long celebrations. Its just an excuse to get drunk and have everyones attention focused on you. It also sucks that my bday is during finals week of the fall semester. Other than that I cant complain.
I go with my boyfriend and my family to this Japanese place in Chicago and eat lots of kitsune udon and sushi. This year I am turning 21, though, so my friends are planning on taking me out.
My parents give me presents and we eat cake. Have a nice dinner too. And... yeah. I spend my b-day with my family. ^^
lol, this thread reminds me of my birthday last summer. my family and i went to a buffet and we ate stuff.. then the waiters came out carrying some weird cake and all of them sang the happy birthday song to me. it was really embarassing x_x;; everyone in the restaurant was like staring O.O;;
