http://www.hondanews.eu/en/index.pmode/modul|detail|0|1063,DEFAULT|21|text|1/index.pmode I wants!! To bad its only sold in Europe. :( 9000rpm ftw!!
It's a high revving engine....but low torque. i respect the f22 especially since it hits the 230hp mark N/A. Not many 4bangers can do that.
The F20c which was used in the earlier S2K's had about 240hp at the crank and 153 lb ft of torque. Then the upped the displacement of the engine to a F22c which lowered the Hp to 237, but had more 9 ft lb's more torque then the F20c. The bigger displacement lowered the redline from 9000 rpm to 8000rpm. As much as I like the V6 and it's Hp and Torque, but there's something about a high revving 4 Cyl that I like...........
it looks like an hybrid of the cr n the regular s2k. does anything know why they are discontinuing the s2k.
they copied what nissan did with the end of production R34...lets milk the market one more round before we retire the car....
it was set for a new generation as evident with the OSM concept but with declining year over year sales along with the economic down turn it became an easy target for Honda to cut cost. i dont believe this will be the last we'll see the S roadster, after all there was about a 30 year gap between the S800 and S2000. i just hope it wont be another 30 years before Honda decides to revive the S roadster again.
