Friday June 9, 2006 Hong Kong The World Cup Opening Ceremony would be taking place in Germany tonight. Along with football fans from all over the world, many HK celebrities are also preparing for the World Cup Craze. The World Cup Tournament, which takes once in 4 years, not only attracted football fans to stay up late to watch the matches, but also attracted alot of celebrities as well. This includes Linda Chung and Jolie Chan. Law Kar Ying and Liza Wang are heading to Germany to watch the World Cup. Hacken Lee, who supports England, would also be flying to Berlin to watch the World Cup. Hacken would still be watching matches on TV in HK before his departure date. He would also be writing an article for the newspaper. As most of the matches take place in wee hours of the morning, Hacken has stocked up on junkfood, coffee. Hacken, who is reluctant to miss all the 64 matches, has also signed up for other cable networks that provides coverage of the World Cup. His girlfriend, Emily Lo, and his dog would be watching the World Cup with him. Hacken also mentioned that he has a 100 inch projector screen at home, and his dog likes to run around the screen to chase the ball on the screen. Jolie Chan has made plans to watch the World Cup at pubs with friends. She mentioned that she might even bet on a few matches. As for Edmond Leung, he has invited his friends over for a Football party. Apart from watcing football, they would be stuffing themselves with lots of junkfood and beer. Law Kar Ying, Liza Wang and other members of the HK Celebrity football team would be flying to Germany to watch the World Cup Live. Law Kar Ying is looking forward to the Argentina vs Holland match. Leaving on the 20th of June, Liza and Kar Ying would be spending around 10 days in Germany and are expected to be spending around HKD 50,000 to 60,000. Law Kar Ying feels that for in tonight's Germany VS Costa Rica match, Germany would beat Costa Rica by 3-0.
