I'm getting annoyed at this problem everytime I open the "videos" folder in my external HDD. -shock I can go in to media player, "crtl + o" [open] and choose what to open, yet everytime I open the folder through "my computer" my windows explorer will hang and "needs to close". any suggestions would be nice =] thnx (Am I the only one with this problem? -boat)
there is clearly something in the video folder causing that problem, an until you find the corresponding item its just going to keep getting the error.... if you want you can shut down your explorer.exe from the task manager under the process list and then using task manager open up the drive by selecting new task and then browse and see if you can view it from there.... im sure it should not error on you.... and then you can try to transfer individual files to another drive, and then removing them.... to test which is the corrupted file..... -shrug
LOL... I backed everything up onto the external HDD before formatting computer... formatting it now would K.O. all my stuff =] it was a corrupted file.. Thkx both for the help so happy now -bigsmiles-bigsmiles-bigsmiles-bigsmiles
