Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) flashed their wedding bands today and announced that they have gotten their marriage certificate! The couple will hold their wedding celebration on January 8, 2014, a date especially chosen to commemorate when Hawick had announced he was dating Yang Mi two years ago. Meeting on the set of 2011′s Ru Yi <如意>, 39-year-old Hawick Lau and 27-year-old Yang Mi’s romance progressed eventfully. The couple also starred in the film Holding Love <Hold住愛> and popular drama, Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian <盛夏晚晴天> together. Since relocating from Hong Kong to mainland China, Hawick’s career had an extraordinary turnaround. Both Hawick and Yang Mi rank high on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list, and their careers received a boost after opening their own production studios, adding to their influence and wealth in the mainland entertainment industry. Yang Mi frequently visited Hawick’s family in Hong Kong, and Hawick’s parents saw Yang Mi as the ideal daughter-in-law. To make her feel more comfortable when traveling to Hong Kong, Hawick gifted her with two luxury homes.
