I apologize if there was already a thread on this. If so, I haven't read it and am sorry. Anyway, I've read a few threads about hair styles and such, but is there any on hair care? I mean how do you go from dry damaged hair to nice soft and smooth hair? I've tried conditioning it, and it doesn't work so well. My hair is prickly, dry, and damaged severely. I hope you guys can give me some advice, or hair products to fix this problem. It's pretty soft and slick when it's moist but after it's dry it's like having a rug for a head. By the way, is there any hair product to keep hair feeling moist or wet all day long? If so, please tell me, thank you~
Hollister and Abercrombie fanboy? Anyway, as someone who frequently dyes his hair, I know how it feels. Usually, I condition my hair every morning for 10 mins before I go out the door and it leaves my hair soft, silky, and shiny all day. I also use that Biosilk stuff, and it works. You can also try leaving your conditioner in your hair; in other words, don't rinse it out. Get a leave-in conditioner for color treated hair, or the kind with sunscreen to protect your hair from UV rays. Hot oil treatments every 2-3 weeks helps, too. As for shampoos and conditioners, I recommend salon sold products like Joico or Goldwell, because they tend to have balanced PH levels, and are better quality than most drugstore products. I personally like K-pak http://www.perfume.com/joico/joico-1092351.html Not sure if that site is legit, but most salons should carry it in stock.
Thanks. Does leaving conditioner on your hair really work? Like, it won't do any harm, as the saying goes "too much of a good thing something something can be bad"? so..do I need to do this everyday?
hmm ur a guy aren't u...? if so cant u just cut off the damage hair? newayz. i use leave in conditioner. and try salon brands. they really make ur hair feel softer. for me im cheap so i use tresemme and it actually works pretty good. theres hot oil treatment but if u use it too often ur hair will be limp and greasy. there is also hair serum but i just find that stuff too oily.
no, i wish i could just cut away my problems. but i guess my hair is damaged to the roots. It's really bad. the worst part is the front of my head, it looks like...i dunt even know how to describe it! hair serum eh..is this tresemme in a blue-ish bottle?
hmm tresemme are in these fat black and white bottles.. the hair serum.. i buy it from salons. perhaps u need eat healthier...if ur hair is damaged at the roots. and avoid hair dryers. i heard hairspray and gel drys up ur hair. so avoid those too. for me, wind kills my hair, so wear a hat.
i heard wearing a hat kills your hair. maybe for a long period, because it doesnt allow any oxygen for your scalp..something like that. eat healthier? nothing's wrong with my diet..maybe lack of water? because I like my vege and fruits. the gel thing could be it. but my friend has been in hardcore gelin and his hair is nice, like girl hair, even nicer.
there are a oil product that you apply after you wash and towel dry your hair. i use many different brand but the silk one is the best.
hair treatments. joico has a good one since u said u liked joico. hair treatments are done about 1-2 times a week (depending on how bad ur hair is) u leave it in for about 5 minutes or wrap hair in towel with it for a few hours. if u don't wanna spend the money, there's that v-05 hot oil stuff that works pretty well too. avoid blow drying as much as possible too.
just play with ur hair. the oil in ur hand can help dry hair. and use conditioners that are for dry hair. get the girly ones cuz those conditioners are more strong.
