Thursday August 7, 2008 Hong Kong Hacken Lee (李克勤) will be fronting TVB's coverage of the Beijing Olympics and he arrived in the city today to prepare for the opening ceremony broadcasts. Hacken revealed that as he did not want to leave his assistant and his luggage behind, he had declined the offer to go through VIP immigration in Beijing and entered the country through the normal channels. As a result, when he exited to the concourse at Beijing airport, he was quickly surrounded by many members of the public who were eager to welcome him to their city. After leaving the airport, Hacken reported that the Olympic atmosphere was electric and the presentation of the city was immaculate. He exclaimed that he had never seen Beijing so orderly before. As he did not have to start working until the evening, Hacken took advantage of some spare time to take his first glances of the Bird's Nest stadium and the Water Cube aquatics centre. He sighed with admiration at the achievement of the Chinese people to have constructed these architectural masterpieces. He added that the volunteers and citizens in Beijing were all very polite and friendly and he was extremely impressed that even the receptionists were all totally fluent in Chinese and English. credits: batgwa.
Hacken Lee is quite multi-talented - not only does he sing extremely well, he's also a good host...not so boring...
