In Chong Cho Kio's "The Lighthouse of My Life," a struggling young woman (Charmain Fong) finds strength through reminiscing about her grandmother (Cheng Pei Pei) and her childhood adventure in search of the legendary treasure under the Farol de Guia lighthouse. Clement Cheng's "A Espera" stars Edison Chen as an ex-convict who, while looking for his girlfriend (Venus Wong), befriends the mother (Maria Cordero) of the boy he killed. Two lonely widowed neighbors (Eric Tsang and Tien Niu) find love in their latter years in Heiward Mak's "Dance Me to the End of Youth." Lastly, Eric Tong's "Arrested for Shooting" follows a financially strapped aspiring filmmaker (Tsui Tin Yau) who decides to make his gangster film by shooting a real robbery.
