Friday November 23, 2007 China Chinese mainland actress Gong Li is making another push into Hollywood, by taking the leading role in new film "Shanghai." In the new film, the 41-year-old veteran actress will play a mysterious woman who deals with the underworld and a journalist from the US, starred by American actor John Cusack. She picked the role for the possible breakthroughs in her performing skills required for the new role, portal website sina.com reported on Friday. Gong Li is now busy with preparations for the shooting, scheduled to kick off next February in Shanghai, Los Angeles and Canada.
